Take me out to the ball game

There are not many things in this world cuter than 4 year olds playing baseball! Zeker Beeker had his first game last Saturday and it was ADORABLE! After having only 2 practices before their season opener, it was a bit chaotic, but I think they all had fun. Although Zeke didn't get on base, we all cheered him on as he swung at all 5 pitches. And let me tell ya, there's nothing more exciting than watching the fielders playing in the dirt while the ball rolls right past them!

Easter bunnies

Yeah, yeah, I know Easter was over a week ago, but I haven't had a chance to share my little bunnies yet. We had a really nice weekend. On Saturday we celebrated with the Skelley side of the family at the Holden's house. On Sunday we celebrated with the Holdens and had an Easter egg hunt with the kids. They had a blast.

After leaving the church where we had the Easter egg hunt. We headed to my mom and dad's house for dinner. The kids had so much fun coloring Easter eggs and Harper Lee looked adorable in Monna's apron.

Attack of the flat iron!

I wanted to see how long Harper's hair would be if it was straight. So she sat for 15 minutes and let me flat iron it! She thought she was so hot while she was getting her hair done. She sat in front of the mirror and admired herself for quite a while. It looked pretty cute and she looked so much older with her hair straight. That was her first and probably last flat iron session though, as soon as she fell asleep and started sweating, it curled right back up!

practice, practice, practice...

Zeke had his first baseball practice last Thursday. He had so much fun and I was surprised that he wasn't way smaller than the other boys on his team. He is playing in a 5-6 year old league, so I expected him to be tiny. He needs lots of work, but he was so cute and having so much fun that I didn't mind that he didn't catch any balls and didn't touch all of the bases. He's really good at batting and throwing, but he needs to work on catching! Harper wanted to play SO badly! She kept going out with the team and tried to do some of their drills. She just cried when the big boys didn't let her have a turn.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls...

We had such a fun weekend! The circus came to the Hancock Co. fairgrounds and we had to take the kids. It was a small circus, but it was entertaining and the kids had SO much fun.

There were lions and tigers...

amazing performing camels...

adorable dogs dressed as elephants...

and the real deal too!

I wish I could have seen the action through the eyes of Zeke and Harper. They were amazed by the clowns, the boy who juggled flaming bowling pins, the girl who hula hooped with 6 hoops on her arms, legs, neck, etc., the dogs who jumped through hoops and drove cars, and especially the size of the elephants balls! (Zeke is such a boy!)

Good Morning Sunshine!

I have always wanted to capture Harper's bed head at it's best and today was just the day for it. It is usually out of control all day long, but it's awesome first thing in the morning. She usually wakes up really happy, but today she didn't feel like having her picture taken. She felt much better after she got her Dunkin Donuts fix.
